DESCRIPTION:SPECIAL EVENT:  "The Goldwater Institute Today" with Matt Beienburg\, Director of Education Policy at the Goldwater Institute.\n\nHis presentation will cover Arizona's  Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)\, which Goldwater pioneered in our state more than a decade ago\, placing  monies that would otherwise go toward a given child's public education into an account that parents can use to customize their child's education experience to best meet their unique needs. The ESA program has gone from serving 100 students in 2011 to more than 10\,000 today\,  allowing more than one million students to be eligible for the program.\n\nYou can find out more about what HB 2853 does and doesn't do for Arizona families at this meeting.\n\nMatt also serves as director of the institute's Van Sittert Center for Constitutional Advocacy.
