Arizona Pet Project HERO Awards Honors Koda and Julliane March 5th
The Arizona Pet Project has announced that Koda and Juliane are their 2022 Loyal Companion HEROes award winners. They will be honored at the 19th Annual Awards Ceremony being held March 5th at the Omni Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale.
The story of Koda and Juliane revolves around a recue husky, Koda, who was attracted to a black bag that was left on a bench in front of Fearless Kitty Rescue one hot summer morning in June. Inside the bag was a black cat, later named Juliane, who surely would not have survived had she not been “rescued” by Koda. Koda’s rescue and Juliane’s recovery after surgery for a growth on her tail won them this honor this year.
Kim Kamins, President & CEO of Fearless Kitty Rescue, said, “We are all very excited about this award. Both Koda and Juliane are so deserving of this recognition. It seems fitting that Koda, herself a rescue, would find Juliane to give her a second chance. As many may know after surgery and recovery with a foster, Juliane was adopted into a loving family. Those attending the event in March will hear much more about the journey of these two heroes along with others who have been recognized.”
