Free Seminar - Use of Naloxone (Narcan) by the Public for Opioid Overdoses
FREE SEMINAR
We are conducting a free seminar titled: Use of Naloxone (Narcan) by the Public for Opioid Overdoses. This was started after attending Fountain Hills Coalition – Youth Substance Abuse Prevention meetings regarding the opioid epidemic and the rise of illicit fentanyl in our communities.
As you may know, the Fountain Hills Chamber is a partner in the coalition on the business side and Guardian Training & Consulting is a chamber member. We regularly hold medical classes for the lay-public from Stop the Bleed Courses, ASHI CPR/AED Courses, ALS, BLS, and going into TECC & TCCC. We currently teach CPR/AED Courses and Stop the Bleed Courses at the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce.
The presenter of the presentation would be Tim Freund, Director of Medical Operations of Guardian Training & Consulting, a 25 year paramedic, flight medic, and SWAT medic for a west valley law enforcement agency. As myself being former local law enforcement for almost a decade, I have seen firsthand what opioid overdoses to include fentanyl has done to our community members and have sadly watched citizens pass away in my arms from opioid overdoses to having numerous Narcan deployments that saved the lives of my citizens while I served. We want a clinical and real-world approach to this seminar.
