Job Overview:
The Dermatology Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners in all aspects of patient care. The Medical Assistant ensures that the patients receive the highest level of care, and that the medical provider they are assisting is informed and prepared before, during and after a patient's visit.
Responsibilities:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification.
  • Documenting appropriate information in EMR regarding patient’s HPI, current medications, allergies, etc.
  • Room patients efficiently, collecting all pertinent data for the provider to be able to efficiently evaluate the patient for their visit.
  • Assist provider with any needs while examination of patient (biopsies, excisions, PDT, writing information down for patients, giving patient appropriate follow up care pertaining to treatment provided, assist in mohs surgery and set up rooms accordingly).
  • Assisting providers with cosmetic procedures, such as Botox, fillers, Bodytite/Facetite, Liposuction and laser treatments.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures.
  • Scribing for providers using EMA.
  • Stocking, sanitizing, and preparing exam rooms.
  • Processes prescription refills and submits prior authorizations.
  • Ability to travel to all Peak Dermatology locations.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to work as a professional team member while completing tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient service.
  • Experience with electronic medical records. Proficiency with EMA is a bonus.
  • The ideal candidate will be committed to consistent punctuality and reliability.
  • Must be able to travel to all locations as needed.
Type: Full-time
Schedule: 32-40 hours, Monday - Friday, Day Shift, Some weekends.
Location: Payson & Fountain Hills, AZ. Visalia, CA.
