About Us

Duncan Robertson is an emerging mixed-media visual artist from Tempe, Arizona. An artist from childhood through High School, he stopped creating art for more than 35 years before finding his way back to his first and true calling. Duncan is best known for his bold use of colors combined with abstract forms and hyper-realistic pointillism. Comfortable in virtually any medium, Duncan works in oils, acrylics, inks, pencils, colored pencils and more, His work may be in any one of these mediums or any combination thereof. Duncan seeks to capture the energy of his subject as much as the likeness.
Because of Duncan’s use of painstaking detail, many of his works take hundreds of hours to complete. This obsessive attention to detail allows Duncan to connect with his subject on a deep, spiritual level. Getting lost in these minute details is a form of meditation for Duncan that allows him to connect more closely with the divine in his subject, this connection allows him to connect with the divine in himself as well as the divine in everyone and everything. Duncan’s unique creations invite the viewer to slow down and get lost in the details and energy of his works in hopes that they may see the divine in themselves reflected in his art.
